Merry Secular Christmas
I awoke before 6:30AM to a quiet house, with a sleeping child next to me. It hits me that it is, indeed, Christmas morning. I feel heavy in the head, heavier in the heart. Eyes won’t adjust, so I stumble to the bathroom and remember that while I bought toilet paper last night, I haven’t put a new roll on the spinner. Before my eyes can adjust, I’m in the kitchen grinding...
I feel the most inspired to write in the morning over many cups of coffee.
My line of work feels most inspired to invest that time into counting the number of boxes that have and haven’t walked off their shelves.
